About Tim Cartledge – Aerial Landscape Photographer
I'm Tim Cartledge, an Australian photographer specialising in drone-captured landscape and coastal photography. For the past 8 years I've been exploring the world from above, revealing colour, pattern and scale that most people never get to see.
My photography started the way most passions do, quietly and without a grand plan. I'd always loved photography, especially when travelling, and somewhere along the way I found myself setting my alarm for sunrise every morning just to capture the light. The drone came later, and when it did, everything changed. Suddenly the landscapes I'd been drawn to my whole life looked completely different. Abstract, graphic, alive in a new way.
Today I shoot across Australia, New Zealand, Bali, the UK and wherever my travels take me next. Each location brings something different and I'm always chasing the shot that stops me in my tracks.
Outside of photography I'm most at home in the water or on a mountain, surfing, snowboarding and hiking. That restlessness is probably why aerial photography made so much sense. It's just another way of exploring.
My work has been featured in the Geelong and Bellarine Tourism Guides, and my prints hang in homes, hotels and cafes around the world, including Holiday Inn properties and Blue Stone Lane locations across the United States.
If you'd like to bring a piece of that world into your space, I'd love to help you find the right print.
