Shell Beach is one of those places that makes you question what planet you are on. A beach made entirely of tiny white cockle shells stretching for over 70 kilometres along the edge of Shark Bay, so dense and so bright that from above it looks almost artificial, like something that couldn't possibly be natural.
From the air, the full scale of it reveals itself. The blazing white shell shoreline, the scrubby red outback stretching back to the horizon, the shallow turquoise water shimmering in the heat. A World Heritage-listed landscape that feels completely unlike anywhere else on earth.
